Overview

We are looking for a Submissions Analyst to join our team. You will manage incoming requests from Brokers, directing them to the appropriate SPGC brand and departments. You will learn and work across multiple software to support services levels. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with Broker set-up, records management, and supporting project tasks related to workflows and enhancements.

This is a hybrid position at our Vancouver or Toronto offices.  

Responsibilities

This position will:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Underwriters and Brokers through verbal and written communication;
  • Triage general submission emails to Commercial and Property lines;
  • Follow Submissions Triaging guidelines;
  • Monitor Triaging reports
  • Review and ensure all documentation received is attached and filed correctly;
  • Document observations made during pre-reviews of files to assist Underwriters;
  • Communicate internally with other departments via e-mail, Microsoft Teams and telephone to determine and follow best practices; and
  • Build and maintain electronic records following established guidelines and processes

Qualifications

You’re a good fit if you have:

  • Have at least 1-2 years of experience with transferrable skills in customer service, or administration;
  • Have at least 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry;
  • Drive to learn a large organizations structure and product lines will be a requirement;
  • Is adept at finding solutions to create an exceptional client experience;
  • Can communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Strong understanding of time restraints to allow for quick turnaround for requests;
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.; and
  • Having experience with NetSuite is considered an asset.

Salary Range:

The expected salary range for this position is from $40,000 – $45,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
