IMPORTANT NOTICE: POTENTIAL CANADA POST STRIKE

Updated as of Friday, May 23rd, [timestamp] pm Pacific Time.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has given notice to begin strike activity on Friday, May 23rd, at 12:00 AM local time, but it has been delayed until further notice. As such, our operation process will remain the same.

In the event of postal disruptions, we’ve outlined the changes to our operating procedures below: 

Policy Documents

We will continue to process all new business, renewals, and endorsements and deliver to brokers digitally.

Registered Letters

Registered letters of cancellation will be sent via courier to insureds.

Claims

Our claims team will courier time-sensitive documents and claims payment cheques to the independent adjuster or the insured, as necessary. If you have a claims inquiry, please email Specialty Claims Canada at claims@specialtyclaims.ca

Payment Handling

Our accounting team is prepared to receive remittance for agency bill statements via EFT, wire transfer, or Clear Pay as our preferred methods. Kindly note that there is no change to our remittance terms at this time.
