UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT

Our success has been based upon our leadership, integrity, innovation, and service. Our Cansure brand is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our growing team.
Job Description
We are currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant for our Langley or Salmon Arm offices. The candidates will support the Underwriters in their day-to-day tasks.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with underwriters and brokers through discussions and correspondence.
- Processes and issue documents as instructed by Underwriters and Managers
- Meeting service standard and turnaround time with respect to issuance of documents
- Support Managers and Underwriters with general administrative tasks
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years work experience with transferrable skills
- Customer service
- Administration
- Insurance experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Willing to complete Level 1 General Insurance License when needed
- Willing to take Insurance courses for continued growth and industry knowledge
