OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Claims Customer Service Representative to support our growing claims operations. You will play a central role in managing communication, documentation, and workflow across multiple systems to ensure claims are processed correctly and on time. This role combines customer service, administrative accuracy, and insurance knowledge to help deliver consistent, compliant, and efficient claims outcomes.

This is an in-office position based in our Abbotsford, BC office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you will:

  • Answer Client telephone inquiries through phone and email.
  • Answer Broker & Dealer telephone inquiries through phone and email.
  • Answer Claims related inquiries through phone and email.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Daily administrative tracking for policy changes, cancellations, claims, payment tracking and other related tasks.
  • Examine files or documents to obtain information and post or attach information to claim file.
  • Review policy wordings to determine coverage.
  • Maintain records, telephone logs, reports, and files.
  • Ensuring claims are settled effectively, efficiently, and fairly.
  • Resolving customer complaints.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS

You’re a good fit if you have:

  • Insurance Agent Level 1 or 2 license.
  • Outstanding mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Uses active listening and questioning skills to understand issues and needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience and ability to navigate a claims management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion.
  • The ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Mandarin speaking is an asset
  • Ability to work weekends and nights as needed

SALARY RANGE

The expected salary range for this position is from $47,840 – 62,400 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
