Canada Post Strike Update: Ensuring Uninterrupted Service for Our Partners and Clients

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has enacted a strike event beginning today, Friday, November 15, 2024. As such, we will amend our operating process to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our customers and minimize disruption during this time as follows below:

Policy Documents

We will continue to process all new business, renewals, and endorsements and deliver to brokers digitally.

Registered Letters

Registered letters of cancellation will be sent via courier to insureds.

Claims

Our claims team will courier time-sensitive documents and claims payment cheques to the independent adjuster or the insured, as necessary. If you have a claims inquiry, please email Specialty Claims Canada at claims@specialtyclaims.ca

Payment Handling

Our accounting team is prepared to receive remittance for agency bill statements via EFT, wire transfer, or Clear Pay as our preferred methods. Kindly note that there is no change to our remittance terms at this time.
